From Shimla, Rohru is 110 km drive on the worst road in Himachal. The road to Spiti is smoother in comparison. Once you reach Rohru, you have to further drive for few more hours to reach Chanshal Pass. Then you start walking towards the right where the bus drops you and keep walking for another three to four hours to reach this beautiful lake.

This is how we reached this lake. I am sure there must be a simpler way to reach here but we just found this lake just by chance. Someone in Kwar village told us about it and we kept walking on the directions given by a shepherd we met on our way. Unfortunately, we were so badly prepared, that we ran out of food and water in just a night of camping and we had to head back to the civilisation quickly before starving. We then chose to  descend to a safer altitude though the forest. There was no trail to follow and we kept walking for  seven hours to a village. This was the last shot I took that day before leaving.
